5/1/26- For sale is a very nice, first year of production M1905 bayonet. The M1905 bayonet was adopted in 1905 and production began in 1906. This bayonet was made in 1906 and has serial number 86606. The blade has a nice darkened finish with no damage or grinding except for some wear at the point. The blade is stamped "SA 1906" on one side along with the flaming bomb and is stamped "US 86606" on the other side. The grips are intact with no cracks or chipping. The scabbard is the very early type with a leather exterior and large belt hook. The scabbard is stamped "R.I.A. H.E.K." along with an unreadable date. Overall in excellent condition and one of the earliest M1905 bayonets you're likely to find!
