Description

3/24/25 - For sale is a French Gras made at the St Etienne Arsenal in 1880. The rifle is well worn with most of the finish is gone on the receiver. The barrel retains a hint of an aged bluing with patina. There's many spots of ol surface rust and oxidation throughout the rifle. The stock had been sanded long ago and there's plenty of handling marks. No cracks or breaks. The bore is still fairly bright with a couple of spots of pitting. The rear barrel band spring needs to be replaced as it has sheered. The rifle has mismatched numbers.
