Description
9/17/20 - This is an original Walther PP pistol assembled by a GI in the Walther factory at the end of WW2, 1945. This is a known variation, characterized by no slide legend, "AC" code on the right side of the slide, a mismatched frame and slide in the correct serial range, and no proof marks. It comes with a pair of very nice, late war, wooden Walther grips - just a hairline crack in the right panel. It also comes with a period-correct, black, finger extension magazine. The late-war finish on this gun is a little tough to rate given its rough machining, but our best guess is that it has retained about 90%. Generally, there is minor muzzle and high edge wear on the slide and thinning along the underside of the frame and on the straps. There are some light handling marks along the top of the slide and small areas of discoloration near the tang. The bore is very nice with areas of minor freckling in the grooves.Specifications
