Description
1/8/23 - This is an extremely rare find - a first variation Zero Series Walther P.38 with bringback document. It's a very early example, the 268th made! One of only 1,000 produced, it features the hidden extractor and rectangular firing pin. Interestingly, the consecutive serial (0267) is listed separately on our site now as complete coincidence. This one is in terrific condition for a first variation example, with 92-94% of the original, high-polish blue remaining. There's wear around the muzzle and minor thinning on the front strap, with a spot of wear on the rear left side slide and a little more on the front edges of the slide. Strong, shiny bore with just a little frost in the grooves. All matching numbers, including the original grips. The magazine is mismatched to the pistol but is a correct 1st variation example with a different serial on the body. Good mechanically, including the de-cocker. The capture document states the pistol was brought back in 1945 by Pvt. Lewankski. It has a couple of slight separations in the creases from being folded over the years but it is generally intact.Specifications
