1/29/26- For sale is a Japanese summer tanker's helmet and an inert Type 97 grenade. The helmet is a hard canvas shell with leather liner designed for protecting the head from bumps inside the tank and offers little real protection against actual enemy attack. The canvas shell exterior is very nice, with no rips, holes, or discoloration. The cloth star is stitched at the front of the helmet. The interior leather liner shows some small signs of aging and natural wear but no damage. There is a clear Japanese stamping on the cloth liner inside the helmet. Helmet is in overall excellent condition. Listing also includes a dummy Type 97 hand grenade, made of either wood or hard plastic. The grenade has the firing mechanism intact, including pin and pull string. Overall a very nice set in excellent condition.
