Description

4/22/24 - This is an original US M1917 Trench Knife by L.F.&C.. The blade is all original but has a black painted handle and hand (knuckle) guard. The scabbard has black painted finish over the metal portions and black dye over the leather. This was likely done by the Veteran who wanted a "Black Army" style look to his knife. The blade has original blued finish and is in near-excellent condition. Nice natural scabbard rub wear and spotty patina discoloration due to age. The hand guard shows the original maker marking and date clearly, and the black painted finish is aged but in great condition. The handle has a few light bruises but no major issues. The scabbard is maker stamped "JEWELL 1918" and is all original.
