Description

1/7/24 - This is an original K98 rifle stock in nice condition with some moderate wear, including dings and dents primarily near the butt end of the stock, indicative of use during its service life. The metal butt plate is marked with a Waffen 497 inspector mark and "brg", identifying the manufacturer as BRG (Brotter und Röhrig), a known German manufacturer of K98 parts during WWII. The butt plate is missing its screws, which may need to be replaced for restoration. The left side of the stock is stamped with the serial number 8733, and the stock includes a bayonet stud. This stock, while showing signs of wear, retains its authenticity and is a collectible piece with desirable markings from WWII.
