M1 Garand Stock

1/7/24 - This is an original dark birch M1 Garand stock in great condition, with only minor wear throughout. The stock includes the ferrule and swivel, and shows a slight amount of patina and wear on the butt plate, consistent with use. The stock is marked with an "X" on the bottom of the pistol grip, which may indicate a repair or inspection mark from the manufacturer or arsenal. Additionally, it features the firing proof test stamp on the front of the pistol grip, a common mark on M1 Garand stocks from the time. This stock would be an excellent piece for a restoration or display, especially for those looking for a WWII-era or post-war stock with identifiable military markings.
