Description
1/28/25 - This is a good example of a WWII Springfield Armory M1 Garand stock. The stock is marked with SA/NFR, indicating inspection by Norman F. Ramsey during Springfield Armory production. It also features the firing proof test stamp and the crossed cannons ordnance stamp, both of which are characteristic of Springfield Armory-made stocks during WWII. The stock is in good overall condition, showing handling marks and some dents, and a gauge in the cheek well of the stock. There is a crack in the stock near the trigger guard that is about 3 inches long on the right side and 2 inches long on the left. This crack appears to have been repaired at some point as there are brass pins in the stock. This stock still has it's sling swivels and butt plate. This stock would go well with a Springfield rifle with a serial number between 3,272,000 and 3,888,081.Specifications
