M35 German Helmet

Description

7/22/25 - The following is a German M35 helmet. This helmet has a couple layers of paint but the original factory apple green paint is also visible in multiple sections underneath the dark field gray paint and there is evidence and possible postwar additions of decals on the left side and a clean area on the right side above the brim where a decal likely was. The exterior metal of the helmet is in decent shape with a few minor scratches on the right side and evidence of wear including patches of oxidization, the most significant of which is on the dome of the helmet. All three split pins are intact. The interior of the helmet has freckling of rust around the brim, and the interior dome is moderately rusted throughout. The aluminum band and leather liner are intact. The leather liner appears to have shrunk which might be evidence of water damage, and the leather has cracking in some of the tongues and surface cracking around the band.
