M40 Luftwaffe Decal Camo Helmet

7/31/25 - The following is a unique example of a German M40 helmet with a Luftwaffe decal and camouflage paint as well. The exterior of the helmet has been painted in a camouflage pattern which is mostly intact but is also has scratches and signs of wear, most significantly a large patch of patina at the dome. On the left side of the helmet there is a German Luftwaffe decal that is barely visible under the camouflage paint. All three split pins are intact but loose. The interior of the helmet has moderate oxidization around the brim and a couple of patches of rust on the same region. The interior dome is also moderately rusted. The interior steel band and leather liner is intact. The leather liner is somewhat brittle and not malleable with minor surface cracking around the band. The chinstrap is fully intact.
