Description

7/14/25 - This is a good example of an M42 German Helmet. The exterior paint on the helmet paint is a dark green and partially covers the army decal that which is still visible. There is some oxidation throughout with some surface rust in the interior of the helmet around the steel band holding the leather insert, and all the split pins intact. The steel banded leather liner is intact and shows heavy use. The leather has surface cracking throughout but is still soft and malleable with no tearing and still contains the long end of the leather chin strap but no short end fastening buckle. Named to Kanonier Kruschke., The helmet is rear marked HKP 64, lot #1828.
