Description
10/3/24 - This is a great example of a M42 Single Decal Army Helmet issued to the German military during WWII. The helmet is a model 42 with flat (not rolled) edges around the brim of the shell. The shell has patina throughout and some typical signs of aging, and a small dent on the back side of the top of the helmet. The single decal is about 85% condition. The interior shell is stamped on the back brim "1550" and on the side "ET62" the "ET" is very faint and hard to make out. The helmet does have it's original inspectors stamp on the top of the interior of the shell. The metal liner band has some mild bends and surface patina, but no major issues. The leather liner is in good condition, with leather loss and cracking in the liner along the rim of the liner. The original leather chin strap is still intact and is still attached as shown.Specifications
