Description
08/26/26 - For sale is a German Marked Portuguese Contract Model 1937A Mauser chambered in 8x57. These rifles were originally made by Mauser Oberndorf and were meant to be sold to Portugal. Many of these rifles would be diverted and acquired by the German Army during WW2. The rifle is in good condition overall, with the bluing fading to a mixture of a bluish grey. There are dots of oxidation but no pitting of concern. The barrel bands and muzzle area show notable finish loss. The stock is in great shape without any cracks or breaks. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The rifle comes with a matching bayonet. Import mark on the bottom of the barrel.
