11/10/20 - This is an excellent and original Mauser Bolo with matching numbered stock. Referred to as a late post-war commercial, this variation was made from 1923-30. The Treaty of Versailles, signed in 1919, imposed restrictions on pistol barrel lengths and calibers on German arms manufacturers. Mauser began manufacturing a compliant version of the C96 for commercial sale with shorter, 3.9 inch barrel. The pistol has original blue that rates at 95+% as there's minimal actual wear, mostly on the rails, but there is spotted oxidation in most areas. The small parts retain most of the original and beautiful fire bluing. The grips appear to be original to the gun but the numbering a factory error, as the gun is serial 502475, and the grips are 501475. Strong, shiny bore. The stock is numbered and matching to the gun. It's in good shape but appears the lid shows a repaired crack.
