Description
1/3/22 - This is a scarce, interesting Mauser C96 that was manufactured in the 1910s and features a Prussian eagle on the trigger guard, and was later sent to the Reichs Finanz Verwaltung (RFV), which was Germany's treasury and tax department and was responsible for the collection of taxes. The pistol is matching numbers throughout, including the grips. The original blue rates at 85-90%, with nearly all of the bluing loss as a result of rubbing against the inside of the stock. It's all on the barrel and front of magazine well. The small parts still have excellent fire blue on them. Strong, shiny bore. The pistol comes with a 1930 commercial stock, which is correct for the RFV marked guns, and the leather harness is also the correct style for these pistols. The stock features the Mauser banner marking and is correctly unnumbered. It has no cracks or notable defects. The harness is fully intact but does have visible cracking and the closure strap is worn.Specifications
