Description
10/26/26 - This is a Mauser Model 1914 that was used by the German Army during WW1, most likely issued to a German officer. Introduced just before the war, the Model 1914 was Mauser's first successful .32 caliber pocket pistol, and large numbers were bought for the German military as a compact sidearm for officers, aviators and rear-echelon troops. All matching with the proper Imperial military acceptance proof on the top of the slide in front of the rear sight. The original finish rates roughly 80-85%, with general high edge wear, areas of thinning and spotty patina on the front strap and right side, including most of the right side of the slide, and some spotty discoloration and somewhat scratchy wear on the left side of the frame. Fitted with a period-correct wood grip that shows honest wear and a tiny chip on the right side. Comes with one proper magazine. The bore is 6.5/10, with good rifling but minor pitting and oxidation throughout.
