Description
8/8/24 - This is a near-mint example of a WWII German K98 Bayonet made by Paul Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co. of Solingen in 1938. Scabbard is matching-numbered to the blade. Proper "WaA519" proof stamps on pommel and spine. Maker marked and serial number stamped on the Ricasso and at the bottom of the scabbard. The blade has retained nearly all of its bluing, and the edge is pristine and unsharpened. Excellent bakelight grips, with some minor darkening and surface scratches. The scabbard is in great shape, but does show visible thinning in areas, and there is mild surface oxidation throughout.Specifications
