Description

10/14/26 - This is a minty French "SVW 45" Mauser P.38 put together after WW2. When the war ended, the Mauser plant at Oberndorf fell within the French occupation zone, and the French continued assembling P.38s there from leftover wartime parts for their own military and police, making these an interesting and historically significant post-war variation. This one is all matching with a French star on the right side of the slide and a "Waffen 135" Nazi military acceptance proof on the left side of the barrel. The blued finish rates about 98+% with just hints of wear on the front edges of the slide and a few extremely light surface scratches on the right side of the slide. Fitted with WW2-era reddish grips with a chip on the right side, and comes with a post-war Walther P1 magazine. The de-cocker is functional. 8.5/10 bore with strong rifling, mostly shiny, with some light freckling here and there.
