Description
10/21/24 - This is a minty Smith & Wesson M1917 rig, and one of the finer examples you'll ever see. It has just a hint of holster wear on the left side of the barrel, a turn line on the cylinder. Beautiful case hardening on the trigger and hammer, especially vibrant on the hammer. All matching and original throughout. Original grips, with left panel hand numbered to the gun. The bottom of the grips are unit marked, reading "T.CRANE.CO.B' over "105TH M.G.BN. U.S.A". This would appear to mean it went to the 105th Machine Gun Battalion, and belonged to Theodore Crane who left service as a Captain. The listing includes an excellent and original G&K 1918 dated holster, along with two moon clips.Specifications
