Description

1/19/18 - This is an excellent Sauer-made K98 from 1942 with scope, sight hood, muzzle cap, sling and cleaning rod.  The rifle is minty but shows some signs of restored finish and sanded wood (if not replaced stock).   All numbered parts are matching but some parts show signs of renumbering, like the front barrel band.  The sling is reproduction.  Scope is marked ZIELJAGD 4x and the mount is marked WEIHRAUCH HWZ.  The bore has strong rifling but is frosted throughout the grooves.
