6/2/26- For sale is a nice A. C. Co. 1917 trench knife. The 1917 knife was the predecessor to the famous 1918 brass knuckled trench knife and bears similar features including an offensive knuckle guard and a stud on the bottom of the pommel for striking. The triangular blade has some mild patina and scabbard wear but no serious damage. The knuckle guard is very clean with no rust or patina and was potentially cleaned or scrubbed at some point. The inside of the knuckle guard is stamped "A. C. Co. USA 1917". The wooden grip is intact and undamaged. The knife comes with the original leather scabbard. The scabbard has a lightly struck but appropriate "Jewell 1918" manufacturer marking and no notable damage. Overall in excellent condition.
