Description

6/25/25 - For sale is an early Colt Government 1911 made in 1913. The pistol retains a polished aged blue finish with spots of browning patina. The slide shows edge wear and a finish loss pattern from some kind of liquid being wiped on the slide. There's spots on the front half of the slide and the rear half shows streaks of it being wiped. The front of the pistol grip is worn down to bare mental. Small parts like the trigger, hammer, slide stop, and safety retain some of its bright Colt blue. The grip panels show edge wear but free of any crack or breaks. Bore retains strong rifling but there's visible wear in the grooves. The barrel is not correct for a handgun of this year. The left side of the barrel outside the chamber shows light oxidation. The bottom of the barrel is stamped "5" in front of the lug.
