Description
08/25/26 - For sale is a German Marked Portuguese Contract Model 1937b Mauser chambered in 8x57. These rifles were originally made by Mauser Oberndorf and were meant to be sold to Portugal. Many of these rifles would be diverted and acquired by the German Army during WW2. The rifle is in good condition overall, with an aged bluing on the metal. The barrel bands and barrel show more wear and oxidation. The stock had been lightly sanded but in great shape. The bore is bright with good rifling. Some light fouling is visible. The rifle has nearly matching numbers, but the safety and stock are mismatched. Included is also a Matching bayonet. The scabbard is mismatched.
