1/14/25 - For sale is a Springfield Krag Model 1896 rifle made in 1897. The rifle is in good condition with the metal retaining an ice blued finish. The barrel has freckling of oxidation visible on the finish. The receiver has some of the finish faded and turning grey. The stock had been sanded and varnished sometimes the past and the inspection proof has faded. There is a 1.5" crack behind the magazine, under the bolt cutout. The bore is bright with great rifling, but the muzzle is lightly frosted.
