11/23/24 - For sale is a Springfield Model 1873 Saddle Ring Carbine made in 1873. The carbine is in excellent condition overall, considering its age. The barrel retains a nice bluing with freckling oxidation visible throughout. The receiver and trapdoor have a hint of case color finish visible but is mostly worn away and a layer of oxidation. The stock is free of any cracks or breaks and is in great condition. The rear sight is marked with a "C" on the left side. The bore is bright with great rifling but there is pitting visible near the muzzle.
