Description
09/23/2024 Äì For sale is a Swedish Mauser Model 96/38 that was made in 1900. These short rifles were originally M1896 long rifles that were cut down alongside the production of the M38 rifles. The rifle is in good condition with some of the original bluing remaining, but most of it has worn away or greyed with age. The rifle has a Soderin Diopter sight installed which would normally be installed on the 1896 long rifle. The rear sight has been replaced with the micrometer sight. The stock is in good condition with no cracks or breaks but plenty of handling marks. This rifle is nearly matching but the magazine floor is mismatched. The bore is fairly right with good rifling.
