2/8/2024 - For sale is a US Model 1917 made in 1918 at the Winchester Arsenal. The rifle likely was sent to the British Commonwealth as aid as the stock is stamped with unit markings and the bolt had a serial number stamped onto it. The rifle had then returned to US inventory receiving the flaming bomb stamp. The rifle is clean is in good shape. The metal is well-worn but retains much of its original bluing. The stock had been sanded lightly but the unit markings on the stock are still visible. The bolt serial number does not match the receiver but is a Winchester bolt. The barrel is marked 1-18 for January of 1918. The bore is dark with some light beneath with good rifling.
