Description
6/10/26 - For sale is a Winchester Pattern 14 rifle chambered in .303 Brit made as aid to the British Army during WW1. The rifle was the precursor to the Model 1917 rifle used by the US Army. The rifle is in great condition with a nice dark, worn blued finish with it also turning brown with age. The rifle had likely undergone Weedon repair as the volley sights and the unit disk were removed and prepped for WW2. The bore is great with good rifling but it is getting darker toward the muzzle. The stock had been sanded lightly sometime in the past. The bolt and the receiver have matching numbers and the rear sight is not numbered. Ther file comes with a Canvas sling.
