SOLD - Rare Remington Rand 1911 - Factory Cutaway?

12/5/24 - This is a rare Remington Rand 1911A1 Cutaway. The pistol is a WW2 era 1911A1 with a Remington Rand slide, and an unmarked frame. We believe the frame is a Remington Rand frame as the condition of both the slide and frame match, as well as the quality of the cut away. We believe this pistol to be a factory cutaway due to the missing serial number and other missing frame markings, however we cannot be certain on this. This pistol has sections of the frame and slide cut away to expose the internal mechanisms of the pistol in order to see how the pistol functions. This pistol does not have these windows cut into the barrel and the pistol is fully functional, making this a firearm. The bore on this pistol is still shiny with strong rifling, however there is some light pitting in the grooves of the rifling. While we do not recommend firing this pistol, it will need to be transferred through an FFL or C&R, as it is still considered to be a live firearm.
