Description
4/14/25 - This is a rare Remington UMC 1911. Of the three manufacturers of accepted U.S. Military 1911 pistols, the Remington-UMC is the least common with only ~21,000 produced. It has the proper E.E.C. inspectors marking on the left side of the frame. Major Edmond E. Chapman was responsible for the entire Rem-UMC production. Below his mark is an "Eagle Head E1" proof. Correct barrel with a "P" in the ejection port. Overall, the gun is in fair condition. However, there is obvious finish loss and spotty patina throughout. An area of pitting at the front left of the slide. Fitted with slightly worn period-correct wood grips and comes with a proper two-tone magazine. The bore has pretty good rifling, but there is minor pitting throughout.Specifications
