Description
5/7/25 - This is a rare Remington UMC 1911. Of the three manufacturers of accepted U.S. Military 1911 pistols, the Remington-UMC is the least common with only ~21,000 produced. It has the proper E.E.C. inspectors marking on the left side of the frame. Major Edmond E. Chapman was responsible for the entire Rem-UMC production. Below his mark is an "Eagle Head E28" proof. Correct barrel with a "P" in the ejection port. This gun is a beautiful professional restoration with very little wear, just a few very light surface scratches here and there and a few small dings on the front strap. Fitted with excellent checkered wood grips and comes with a proper two-tone magazine. Mint bore.Specifications
