Description
3/26/24 - This is a rare Remington UMC 1911. Of the three manufacturers of accepted U.S. Military 1911 pistols, the Remington-UMC is the least common with only ~21,000 produced. It has the proper E.E.C. inspectors marking on the left side of the frame. Major Edmond E. Chapman was responsible for the entire Rem-UMC production. Below his mark is an Eagle Head proof. The slide is marked with the 'E' above the firing pin stop. Correct barrel with a "P" in the ejection port. The gun has retained roughly 75% of its finish. There is obvious thinning, discoloration, and light brown patina throughout. Fitted with excellent period-correct wood grips and comes with a proper two-tone magazine. Mint bore.Specifications
