09/01/26 - For sale is a Mauser G98M chambered in 8mm Mauser made in 1918. The rifle was originally a standard Gewehr 98 but was rebuilt by the Weimar Government. The rifle has the upgraded Tangent rear sight, which replaced the Lange Vizier rear sight. The rifle shows notable age and wear with a tarnish layer developing on the metal. The stock is in good condition overall. The surface is lightly sanded. There is an arsena repair on ther ight side near the rear sight. The bore is fairly bright with good rifling. It is darkening towards the muzzle from age. The rifle is mismatched. Cleaning rod is absent. The barrrel band doesnt fully fit the leaf spring detent.
