Description
10/10/25- For sale is a Prussian pickelhaube. An iconic piece of German headwear, the pickelhaube served as the standard Prussian helmet for roughly 60 years, until the intensity of World War One forced a shift to the equally iconic steel stahlhelm in 1915/1916. This helmet is made of boiled leather and metal fittings. The large eagle on the front indicates Prussian service and there is a unit marking "J. R. 138" around the back on the inside of the helmet. The exterior of the helmet is in good condition, with only minimal wear and patina but no serious damage. The interior of the helmet has the original leather lining but no straps connecting the various leather flaps. Overall in very good condition.
