Description
6/10/21 - This is a scarce Luger variation that was produced by the Vickers Ltd. Company in England for the Netherlands. These were produced in the 1915-17 timeframe when hostilities broke out between the Germans and Dutch. There were approximately 10,000 made however they are very rare today as they saw considerable use in the Far East and most you see are in terrible condition. Almost all were arsenal refurbished during the 1925-1933 time frame, and that does not detract from the value of these rare pistols. This one is all matching and has a blank brass plate - they were usually unit-marked there. It has retained roughly 85% of its finish with areas of wear on the straps, side plate, side rails, and around the muzzle. There is heavy patina on the straps and minor spotty oxidation and tiny pin-pricking throughout. Comes with excellent grips and a mismatched magazine. The bore is poor - very little rifling left with pin-pricking throughout.Specifications
