Description
7/9/21 - This is a nice example of a rare Mauser Banner Luger issued to the Nazi police force in 1939. The gun is all matching but was assembled from leftover parts - the parts were numbered at the police arsenal. The side plate has a Simson proof. It has a police "Eagle F" marking on the right side of the slide. This is a known variation and there were only about 2,000 made. While the very rare "Eagle K" variation is technically rare than this one, there are fewer "Eagle F" examples known. This one has retained about 50% of its finish. Most of the finish loss is on the straps, side plate, and left side of the frame. Spotty wear on the side rails, chamber, and right side of the slide. Streaky wear on the barrel and a couple of dots of discoloration around the bore. Some pin-pricking on the left side rail, side plate, and left side of the frame. Spotty oxidation on the straps. Comes with a matching Haenel police magazine - significant chip in the bottom. Mint bore.Specifications
