Description
10/19/26 - This is a rare 41/42 code "Ku" marked Mauser Luger rig, with the '41 date on the chamber and the "42" code on the toggle. The Ku Lugers are among the most sought-after Luftwaffe variations: roughly 5,000 were made with the Ku prefix, and the prevailing theory is that they were assembled in early 1943 for the Luftwaffe from leftover Mauser parts by a contractor identified only by the "Ku" code, often attributed to Adolph Kurschner in Bavaria. It is all matching, with Luftwaffe proofs on some of the parts. Fitted with minty, matching-numbered blonde wood grips that carry the full serial number, which is correct for this variation, and that are also "Eagle 655" proofed. It comes as a rig with two original "Black Widow" magazines, a "42"-marked armorer's replacement tool, and a beautiful, near-mint 1941-dated holster. The finish rates about 95%, with general high edge and muzzle wear and some light freckling on the front strap. Excellent bore, shiny with strong rifling, 9/10, with just a few small dots of oxidation here and there.
