Description
10/7/26 - This is a very nice example of a rare "41/42" Code Mauser Luger, issued to the Nazi military in 1941. Only about 7,000 of this variation were made, making it even rarer than a K date Luger. The gun is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 655" military acceptance proofs on the right side of the receiver. The original finish rates roughly 90%, with areas of somewhat spotty wear and light spotty oxidation on the grip straps, side plate, side rails, along the barrel and around the muzzle. Fitted with excellent matching-numbered wood grips. Comes with a period-correct but mismatched magazine (was renumbered post-factory). The bore has great rifling with some frosting in the grooves. A desirable wartime variation that Luger collectors seek out.
