Description
8/15/25 - This is a minty example of a Colt Government Model from 1966. Factory-nickel Colt Government Models from 1966 are considerably rarer than their blued counterparts. In the 1960s, the vast majority of commercial Government Models left the factory with a standard blued finish, while nickel was a special-order option produced in far smaller numbers. This scarcity makes original nickel examples more desirable to many collectors, often commanding a noticeable premium over comparable blued pistols. This one comes with its original matching-numbered box, owners manual, and a nickeled magazine. The gun shows very little sign of wear except for some tiny micro-scratches in the finish here and there (typical for these finishes). There is a custom inscription on the right side of the slide "F.P. MAZIK 9-28-66". Fitted with correct brown plastic grips. Mint bore.
