Description
9/16/25 - This is a very rare and early Colt Government Model 1911, manufactured in 1912 and chambered in .45 ACP. The gun has a very early serial number and has a correct early barrel marked with a "C" on the hood. Correct, early halfmoon rear sight. This gun is in exceptional condition compared to other early examples we've seen. It has retained roughly 80-85% of its original high polish bluing. Bright peacock bluing on the small parts. There is honest wear throughout, concentrated mostly around the high edges, around the muzzle, and on the grip straps. Excellent period-correct wood grips. Comes with a correct, early keyhole magazine. The bore has great rifling, but there is surface freckling throughout.
