Description

10/19/17 - This is a very rare and highly desirable Colt M1911A1 that was manufactured in 1939 as part of a Naval contract order.  There were only ~3,600 Colt 1911A1's produced in 1939 and all were issued to the Navy as part of the order.  This one is original and matching, with about 96% brushed blue finish remaining.  There is a little patina on the front strap and a few spots of finish loss on the underside of the frame.  Colt barrel with 'G' proof under the lug.  'S' marked magazine.  Strong bore but there is some freckling in the grooves.
