Description

12/10/21 - This is a terrific example of a rare, early Colt National Match that was made in 1938 and is equipped with the Swartz safety device. The original blue rates at about 97% with a few minor hints of wear on the front strap, and a couple of small dings there, as well. There's hardly any bluing loss otherwise, just a bit of edge wear on the slide, and a little bit of discoloration along the top of the slide. Proper National Match barrel that's marked MB in a circle on the side. Mint bore and grips. Slide is properly matching to the frame. Blued Colt magazine that is marked 'COLT .45 AUTO' on the base. Swartz safety installation is confirmed by an accompanying Colt archive letter that states the pistol was shipped to Tampa in 1938.
