Description

12/15/21 - This is a very nice example of a rare, early, Pre-WW2 Colt "National Match" 1911A1 sold in the commercial market in 1939. It is all correct, the right side of the slide is labeled "National Match Colt", and the right side of the frame is marked "Government Model". It has retained about 91-92% of its original Colt bluing. There is minor wear concentrated around the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. There are some light handling marks/scratches along the top of the slide. Minor spotty wear on the front strap. Very minor freckling on the front strap and on the grip safety. Comes with excellent wood grips and a period-correct magazine. The bore has great rifling, but there are some tiny pits in the grooves.
