Description
5/7/21 - This is a rare Mauser C96 Broomhandle that went to the Austrian Army during World War I. It's all original and in excellent condition with only minor bluing loss on the muzzle, right side rail and front edge of the magazine well. All matching numbers throughout, aside from the magazine floorplate which is very commonly replaced. The finish is uniform throughout, so this part was likely with the gun for a very long time. The original, matching grips are also present. This gun was shipped from Germany's Erfurt Arsenal to the Austrian Imperial Army in 1917. It has both the German Army acceptance stamp and the Austrian Imperial Army acceptance mark. There were only about 13,000 such examples ever produced/ordered. This one has beautiful fire blue on small parts and a minty bore. It also comes with a stripper clip full of dummy rounds, an Austrian First World War Commemorative Medal, an Empire Bronze 3rd Class Bravery Medal and an Empire Iron Cross of Merit from 1916.Specifications
