11/7/24 - This listing is for the finest 1912 manufactured Colt M1911 we have encountered/offered for sale. All correct and original, this example shipped in December of 1912. It remains in nearly un-issued condition, with just a tiny hint of front edge wear on the left side of the slide, and slightly more on the mainspring housing. Minor 'idiot scratch' on left side frame. Proper vertical 'H' on back of slide and hood of barrel. Rare, correct "keyhole" magazine in good condition. Bore has shiny, strong rifling but there is pinpricking through the grooves. A time capsule example, and about as nice as you'll ever see from 1912!
