Description
10/16/26 - For sale is a rare long side rail sniper K98k made by Gustloff Werke in 1944, chambered in 8mm Mauser (7.92x57). The rifle has a correct late-war phosphate finish. There are some areas of finish loss, such as on the rear sight sleeve, and some dark spots on the bolt. The barrel, bolt, bolt sleeve, safety flag, cocking piece, and firing pin match the rifle. The scope and mount do not match the rifle. The scope lens is slightly clouded but free of any cracks, and the reticle is sharp. The stock is in excellent condition overall with no cracks or breaks. There is a chip on the top and bottom of the buttstock on the left side. The right side of the buttstock behind the takedown disk is marked Eagle/H, and the bottom of the buttstock has the Gustloff "C" stamp. The bore is bright with strong rifling. It comes with a leather sling.
