6/28/24 - This is a rare, matching example of the iconic MP40 submachine gun, as made by Steyr in 1943 The MP-40 was the successor to the MP-38 model. Both were intended to be compact bust fire power weapons especially suited for dismounted vehicle troops but was issued in ever increasing numbers to troops of all kinds. It is slow firing, comfortable to shoot, durable, with readily available parts. This particular example is all matching numbers throughout, including the internals. The only negative is that the bluing has been restored on this firearm. WaA623 proofs found in a few spots. Shoulder stock employs properly and quite tight when extended. Strong, shiny bore with only minor signs of use. Receiver is '43 dated with 'bnz' maker code. This weapon is fully transferable on ATF form 3 or form 4 as C&R eligible.
