Description
6/3/21 - This is a rare Mauser C96 Broomhandle that went to the Austrian Army during World War I and still has the original, matching stock and grips. It's all original and in excellent condition with most of the finish loss on the barrel from rubbing inside the wood stock, and some oxidation on the grip frame. The original, matching grips are also present. This gun was shipped from Germany's Erfurt Arsenal to the Austrian Imperial Army in 1917. It has both the German Army acceptance stamp and the Austrian Imperial Army acceptance mark. There were only about 13,000 such examples ever produced/ordered. This one has beautiful fire blue on small parts and a minty bore. The stock has the same Austrian acceptance stamp and is matching numbered to the pistol. It was lightly sanded at some point, and there is a small repair in the lid but still in very nice condition. Gorgeous bore, hardly looks used. The left grip panel has the name Jed P. Jones with what appears to be a SSN written inside, perhaps the GI that brought the gun back?Specifications
