Description

12/14/21 - This is a rare Inland Paratrooper M1A1 carbine in all original condition. It's an early Type 1 example with flip sight, six digit serial and no bayonet lug. Barrel dated to March of 1943, and Inland parts throughout. Original cheekpad with correct brass rivets. Worn and dinged stock but otherwise pretty nice. Slight hairline crack on left back (see photo). Crossed cannons cartouche on bottom of handle. IO marked as well on inside of handguard. Circle P on the back of the stock. All marking are original and not re-stamped or enhanced. No signs of a bayo lug ever added or removed. No stake marks on the original rear site. Original finish on the metal parts that shows some thinning on the barrel and receiver. Excellent, shiny bore. Comes with original canvas sling.
